Description: County Clerks are typically the first judicial officers who become aware of the filing of guardianship. The clerks process every filing from the inception of the case to the termination of the proceeding, and everything in between. This session will feature a county clerk from a statutory probate court jurisdiction, a county clerk from a jurisdiction with county courts at law, and a constitutional county judge and clerk from a jurisdiction with a constitutional county court with guardianship jurisdiction. Attendees will learn about the internal processes utilized by county clerks and how guardianships are managed in each jurisdiction.
